Police Investigate 3 Shootings In Baltimore
BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) -- Baltimore police are investigating three shootings that occurred within an 8-hour span.
According to police, the first shooting occurred around 11 p.m. Saturday in West Baltimore on the 2400-block of Harlem Avenue. Police say they heard a report of shots being fired and learned that a 56-year-old man had walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds to his arm and leg.
The victim told investigators he was sitting in his car when an unknown suspect approached the vehicle and started shooting. Investigators believe the motive for this incident may have been a dispute earlier in the evening.
At 2:30 a.m. Sunday, an officer found a 21-year-old man in Southeast Baltimore who had been shot in the arm. He told police he had been shot while walking in the 6500-block of O'Donnell Street.
The most recent shooting occurred shortly before 7 a.m. Sunday in the 1600-block of E. 29th Street in Northeast Baltimore. Police say a man was shot at least once and was taken to a hospital.
