Police Identify 1986 Murder Victim Whose Body Was Found On Western Md. Farm
LITTLE ORLEANS, Md. (AP) -- State police say they've identified a murder victim whose decomposed remains were found in a shallow grave on a western Maryland farm in 1986.
Police announced Thursday that they've identified the man as Carl Bughoo. They believe he was born in 1949, possibly in Trinidad, which means he would have been in his late 30s when he was killed. He also went by the names Carlos Fernandez and Cali Cruz.
Police believe Bughoo spent time in the Baltimore area between 1982 and 1984.
Bughoo's remains were discovered by the owner of a farm in Little Orleans, near the West Virginia border in Allegany County, in March 1986. Forensic experts estimated that his body had been there for months.
Police are hoping people who knew Bughoo will come forward with information.
