Police Hope To Identify Victim Of 1986 Homicide
LITTLE ORLEANS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the victim of a homicide in 1986.
Troopers say the body of a man was found on March 21, 1986, in a shallow grave in Little Orleans in Allegany County. It was estimated then that the body had been there a couple of months.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the manner of death was homicide. Authorities have not released the cause of death.
Troopers recently worked with a forensic artist to develop a probable likeness of the victim. It can be seen at www.facebook.com/MarylandStatePolice.
The man is believed to have been Hispanic, 5'9" tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes, black hair and a black mustache. Authorities say he was between the ages of 25 and 50.
