Police Find Randallstown Shooter Dead Inside Home
RANDALLSTOWN, Md. (WJZ) ―An entire Baltimore County neighborhood locked down after a 36-year-old suspect Terrence Wilson barricaded himself inside his Randallstown home after shooting his wife.
Suzanne Collins tells us exactly what happened.
After the shooting it was a dramatic moment when the couple's 8-year-old son had to run out of the house to safety and into the arms of police. Then there was concerned that shots could be fired in the neighborhood.
A swat team raced to the 9500-block of Oak Terrace Way in Randallstown and an armored car was brought in for an armed man that was barricaded in his home at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
A medevac chopper flew his wife to shock trauma because she was shot multiple times—once right in the face.
"The child is out of the house and the child is safe," said Lt. Rob McCullough, Baltimore County police.
Police had to rescue the 8-year-old boy who ran from the house, as a neighbor watched the drama.
"I saw him run through the woods in the back of the house," said Stephanie Martin. "The police met him and carried him off into a secure location."
Police say this domestic situation could've been brewing for days. Police were called to the location Tuesday because neighbors heard loud arguing coming from the house.
For hours on Thursday, residents could not get in or out of the neighborhood. They had to remain inside their homes while the danger of flying bullets remained.
"I pulled in and they stopped me and pulled me back," said one neighbor. "I been here for about two hours waiting to get in."
"I don't have any idea of how long it's going to be before we're able to get to our homes," said another.
Wilson's family members waited in an empty school building throughout the standoff. There was much to motion when they are told that he is dead.
It was not the neighbors who called 911 on Thursday; it was Wilson's wife.
Wilson's wife, who has not yet been named by police, is in critical but stable condition at shock trauma.
