Police: Elderly Woman and Adult Male Murdered at Home
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ)-- Two people were gunned down inside a west Baltimore home Monday afternoon and one of the victims, 69 year-old Patricia Mosley, was a minister, family and friends tell WJZ.
Relatives are now trying to make sense of this tragedy, and some say they're concerned for their own safety.
Baltimore City Police are investigating the double homicide, which left Mosley and her son, 42 year-old Samuel Jones, dead inside a home in the 2200 block of Poplar Grove.
"Whatever happened here today, she had nothing to do with it, and its very sad to know she was taken away in the midst of whatever else was going on," said the victim's nephew Rodney Mosley.
Family and neighbors say the woman was a minister who often had prayer meetings inside her home.
Police first knew something was wrong Monday afternoon when the fire department was called in for reports that a fire alarm was going off.
That's when they found found a 69-year-old woman suffering from gunshot wounds to the head and face and a male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
"So we're asking anyone in the public who was out there who hear something, knew something, please contact our detectives," said Lt. Jarron Jackson, Baltimore Police.
As police search for the shooter, family members are on edge.
"It concerns me, because I have other family members," Rodney Mosley said.
