Police Reopen Highway, Urge Caution After Crashes
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police have reopened Interstate-83 after two separate crashes.
Det. Jeremy Silbert tells The Baltimore Sun the interstate was shut down Sunday morning for nearly two hours between Falls Road and Cold Spring Lane.
The collisions took place between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Police say details were not immediately available. Police say they hoped to reopen the highway quickly. City officials said the closure caused severe traffic problems in the area.
Dense fog has also caused problems in Harford County along Interstate-95 between Abingdon and Havre de Grace.
WBAL Radio reports one person was killed in an accident early Sunday on northbound I-95. Maryland State Police say a SUV crashed under a tractor trailer.
