Police Chase Suspect Charged In Crash That Left Woman Dead
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—A police chase in Anne Arundel County turned deadly after a suspect collides head-on with a woman.
It happened last week when police attempted to pull over the suspect, 31-year-old Johnathan Simms, in Glen Burnie Thursday afternoon, but he sped away. The pursuit turned deadly when he got on the wrong side of the road and slammed into the innocent driver.
66-year-old Louise Donner, of Linthicum died as a result of the crash.
"This was a simple traffic stop. All of this could have been avoided if he just pulled over," said Elena Russo, Maryland State Police.
Coworkers tell WJZ Donner worked at a local Giant supermarket and lived with her daughter, who they say is distraught over her mother's tragic death.

Those who know Donner say out of respect for the family, they will not comment on the crash but they call her an angel on earth who will truly be missed.
Authorities say Simms is facing charges of negligent manslaughter, eluding police and a slew of traffic violations.
According to online court records, Simms has a history of traffic violations.
He was taken to the hospital following the crash. He is expected to survive.
If convicted, Simms could face more then 10-years in prison and thousands of dollars in fines
