Police: Baltimore Man Arrested For Robbery & Assault Of Taxi Driver
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Baltimore Police have arrested and charged a man for a North Baltimore assault and robbery that occurred early Friday morning.
Officers responded to the scene in the 3300-block of Keswick Road around 3:30 a.m. A victim told them that he was operating a taxi cab in the block when his passenger pulled out a knife to rob him.
The victim struggled with suspect and sustained minor cuts to his neck and hands. The suspect was able to flee from the location with an unknown amount of money.
During the course of the investigation, detectives spotted the suspect walking in the 3300-block of Keswick Avenue.
Branden Barnes, 27, was apprehended and placed under arrest. Barnes has been charged with robbery, assault and theft.
He is being held at the Central Booking and Intake Facility.
