Police Arrest Dundalk Man For Stabbing Death Of His Roommate
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)--Baltimore County Police have made an arrest in the Monday morning stabbing death of a man in Dundalk.
The suspect is Edwin Alexander Iglesias-Reyes. He has been charged with first-degree murder and is held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
The victim has been identified as Victor DeJesus Portillo-Portillo, 26, of the 400-block of Scarsdale Road.
Homicide investigators say that Iglesias-Reyes and Portillo-Portillo were roommates who had gotten into an argument. Investigators do not know what the argument was about.
Iglesias-Reyes stabbed Portillo-Portillo multiple times and fled the home immediately afterward, leaving a trail of blood throughout the neighborhood.
Police and fire units responded to a call for a cardiac arrest at the Scarsdale Road address Monday at 6:21 a.m. Officers found the victim dead from multiple stab wounds. They also observed a blood trail leading out of the basement into a rear alley where a knife was found. The blood trail continued out into the surrounding community.
