Plan To Save Towson Baseball Program Under Fire
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- A plan to use taxpayer dollars to save the Towson University baseball team is under fire.
Governor O'Malley included $300,000 for the program in his budget.
Several state lawmakers tell WJZ's media partner, the Baltimore Sun, they have serious concerns.
Among those concerns are funding the baseball team while the men's soccer program remains on the chopping block, and using tax dollars to support a team that loses money.
