Pa. Man Shot While Trespassing On Md. Property
PARKTON, Md. (AP) -- Police say a man has been charged with shooting a Pennsylvania hunter who was apparently trespassing on a property in northern Baltimore County.
Baltimore County Police say Richard Heymann, 42, of Abingdon was charged with first- and second-degree assault Wednesday and released after posting a $75,000 bond.
Heymann, a former Baltimore City officer, is charged with shooting Christopher Kinne, 43, of Lancaster, Pa., on Tuesday. Police say Kinne was trespassing on the property in the Parkton area when the owner of the property and Heymann confronted him.
Police say the owner of the property left, but Kinne and Heymann continued to argue. At some point Heymann allegedly shot Kinne in the leg. Police say Kinne has serious but not life threatening injuries.
A telephone listing for Heymann was disconnected.
