Pa. Man Charged In Alleged Md. Road Rage Incident
FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Frederick County authorities say a Pennsylvania man flashed a pellet gun at another driver on Interstate 70 near New Market.
Brent Archer, 31, of New Freedom, Pa., is free on $85,000 bail after sheriff's deputies charged him Saturday with reckless endangerment and assault.
The sheriff's office says the driver of a Nissan Altima claimed Archer's GMC Yukon SUV cut him off in traffic.
The Nissan driver says that when he rolled down his window to look at the SUV driver, Archer waved what turned out to be a plastic pellet gun with its telltale orange tip painted black.
Archer contends the Nissan driver screamed at him and made an obscene gesture. Nevertheless, he says he was wrong to display the gun.
