O's Fans Won't Stop Rallying Ahead Of ALDS Game 3 In Detroit
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- We won't stop. Those are the words we all have been hearing a lot lately as the O's take on the Detroit Tigers in the American League Division Series.
Marcus Washington reports while the O's had a day off Saturday, the fans continue to say "We Won't Stop!"
Many fans say for the first time in a long time they are able to support the Orioles with good reason--a great season and an exciting first two games of the series. It's the very reason they say we won't stop celebrating.
While the O's are away, the fans continue to play. Fans cheer on the O's as the team heads into Game 3 of the American League Division Series.
"Basically, we're just here to get everybody pumped up. Game 3 tomorrow."
This We Won't Stop rally in Lutherville is one of many hosted by the Orioles organization, giving fans a chance to cheer on their home team.
It wasn't just cheering Saturday, but meeting the past--former Orioles center fielder Al Bumbry.
"I think this city has gone bananas over this ball team. Everything is orange, and I think that is wonderful. It's like going back to the World Series in '66 and '83. I think it's a wonderful time," said O's fan John Ross.
But the fun didn't stop there. Fans were able to do it all over again. This time, at Mother's Bar and Grille.
"It is unbelievable. I am so proud of the Orioles this year and the last few years. They have been doing such an amazing job," the Baltimore Bird Lady, Sarah Robinson, said.
Ask these fans about Sunday's game and they will quickly tell you:
"All the way. Yes. All the way!" a crowd of fans said.
More rallies are expected--if needed--in Federal Hill, Fells Point and Canton.
The Orioles take on the Detroit Tigers in Game 3 in Detroit Sunday at 3:45 p.m.
