O's Fans 'Feel The Magic' Ahead Of Home Opener
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Orioles Magic is alive on the heels of a win Thursday afternoon in Tampa.
Now the fans are ready to cheer on the birds at Camden Yards in Friday's home opener.
Rochelle Ritchie explains the fans are getting their orange ready.
Orioles Magic is back and fans are thrilled to watch the O's right here in Baltimore.
"I think we're going to go, I think Buck's going to take us all the way," a fan said.
With a successful season last year, faithful fans who poured into the Power Plant to watch the O's, say this year things will be even better.
"They're going to go to the World Series," a fan said.
Those who were lucky enough to visit the Sunshine State and watch the Orioles in Tampa Bay say from the stands the Orioles look to be on their way to a winning year.
"When Davis hit that homerun in the 7th inning there was a lot of cheers, I was that guy in the crowd. So people in Tampa, St. Pete, weren't happy with me, but it was a good time," a fan said.
With the home opener Friday, you can bet Orioles merchandise is flying off the shelves.
Stores can't keep enough of the black and orange on the shelves, and there's plenty of new styles.
"We got all kinds of new team stuff for the fans," a vendor said.
From new hoodies to cool hats, fans will find any and everything to show their O's spirit.
Fans say with the Ravens winning the Super Bowl, good vibes are now spreading to the O's.
"I think Baltimore is going to be a great sports town this year," a fan said.
And the Orioles home opener is Friday against Minnesota. Coverage begins at 2 p.m. and you can see the game live on WJZ-TV.
