Ken Singleton Talks The Start To The Orioles Season
Ken Singleton, 14 year veteran and World Series Champion with the Baltimore Orioles in 1983, calls in to discuss the Orioles after the first week of the season with Ed and Steve.

Steve asks Ken what he thinks about Adam Jones as a hitter. Steve praises Jones' patience during yesterdays game in Detroit when Jones normally isn't known as a patient hitter. Ken says that at this point of his career, it's doubtful that Adam Jones will change his approach but he doesn't understand where the criticism comes from when he leads ALL American League outfielders in home-runs and RBI and constantly has an above average batting average. In Ken's eyes, that should be more than enough for fans and management.
Ed asks Ken what he thinks about Yankees' starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka. Ken says that it's no accident that he was 24-0 last year. No matter where you pitch, little league, minor league, Japanese league or Major league, 24-0 is no mistake and there is tremendous talent present. It's all about putting it all together, which Ken believes he will and he's already had had a good start.
