The 2016 All-Star Game At Camden Yards? It Could Happen.
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Five players from the Orioles are playing in Tuesday night's All-Star Game. Now there's talk of an All-Star Game right here in Charm City.

The Orioles have confirmed their bid for an All-Star Game at Camden Yards in 2016.
It's been quite some time since the country's best ballplayers took the field for an All-Star Game in Baltimore: 20 years to be exact. Now it may be time for another.
"You couldn't ask for a better backdrop for the mid-season classic," said Terry Hasseltine.
Hasseltine is executive director of the Maryland Office of Sports Marketing.
"It's the venue that created all this change and culture in the game of baseball so for the All-Star Game to return back here would be pretty cool," said Hasseltine.
If Baltimore is to get the All-Star Game here in 2016, it would fall on the 25th anniversary season at Camden Yards.
"It's a beautiful city to look at and walk around and plenty of eats and all kinds of stuff," said Sheri Locker.
"It would be wonderful. The city would love to have them here and it would be great for the city of Baltimore," said Cheri Schutt.
In 1993, the game threw more than $31 million into Baltimore's economy.
Three days of All-Star activities, including the home run derby, would be a grand slam for Charm City.
"Tens of thousands of people embarking on Baltimore and the state of Maryland, coming in for multiple day stays in our hotels, eating dinner, visiting our attractions. The harbor would be a buzz," said Hasseltine.
Baltimore's competition comes from Oakland and Toronto, which have gone more than 20 years without an All-Star Game.
A large number of hotel rooms and convention center space are two areas Major League Baseball takes into account before choosing an All-Star city. Baltimore has both.
