Orioles' Best Known Beer Man 'Fancy Clancy' Featured On ESPN
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- ESPN Fan Correspondent Reese Waters joined the Orioles' best-known beer man and cult hero, 'Fancy Clancy,' for a day at the Yard to find out more about the art of selling beer in the stands during a game.
Clarence "Fancy Clancy" Haskett has been a beer vendor for the Baltimore Orioles for over 40 years, sold over a million beers and says Opening Day is like Christmas for him.
So where did the name 'Fancy Clancy' come from?
Haskett said, "Back in the old days, we used to have to pour the beer in a cup. I was pouring two beers at the exact same time in the cup, then for some strange reason, I don't know how I started doing it, but I was able to pour one beer behind my back. Then I started pouring two beers behind my back, and one day, one customer said, 'Man, that's pretty fancy, Clancy." The rest is history.

Haskett then proceeds to show Waters how he loads the beer case and how to deliver it to the fans the best way possible.
