Orioles Add 17 Major League Spring Training Players
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Orioles are in Sarasota for spring training and are ready to practice hitting and pitching before Opening Day.
As of this week, they have enlisted 17 non-roster players in the Major League Spring Training.
The group is comprised of four left-handed pitchers, three right-handers, three catchers, four infielders and three outfielders.
They players will compete, along with the members of the Orioles' 40-man roster, for a spot on the team's Opening Day roster.
Pitchers: Pedro Beato, Jeff Beliveau, Cesar Cabral, Hunter Harvey, Andy Oliver, Todd Redmond and Ashur Tolliver.
Catchers: Jonah Heim, Audry Perez and Chance Sisco.
Infielders: Paul Janish, Trey Mancini, Ozzie Martinez and Steve Tolleson
Outfielders: Xavier Avery, L.J. Hoes and Alfredo Marte
Orioles pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on Feb. 18, and the first full-squad workout at the Ed Smith Stadium complex is scheduled for Feb. 24.
