O'Malley To Swear In New PSC Members
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley will be swearing in two new members of the Public Service Commission.
The governor will swear in Kevin Hughes and Kelly Speakes-Backman on Monday in Baltimore.
Hughes has served as the governor's deputy legislative officer since 2007. Speakes-Backman has most recently worked as the clean energy director at the Maryland Energy Administration. She also has worked in the private sector for 20 years.
The PSC, which is a five-member commission, regulates gas, electric, telephone, water and sewage disposal companies.
