O'Malley To Swear In New Insurance Commissioner
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley will be swearing in the state's new insurance commissioner.
Therese Goldsmith will be sworn in Friday in Annapolis on Friday.
Goldsmith as appointed by O'Malley to be a commissioner on the Public Service Commission in 2009. In 2007, Goldsmith became a partner at Hogan & Hartson, LLP, as part of the firm's white-collar litigation practice group.
The Maryland Insurance Administration regulates the state's insurance industry.
O'Malley also will be swearing in Robert Young to serve as director of the Maryland State Department of Assessments and
Taxation.
