O'Malley To Release Economic Development Plan
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley is releasing a five-year strategy for economic development in Maryland.
The governor will present the plan Thursday in Baltimore. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and other local officials and small business owners will attend.
O'Malley plans to outline four strategies to create and retain jobs in Maryland.
The governor also is scheduled to announce new tenants at the Rangos Building, which is part of the Science and Technology Park at Johns Hopkins University's medical campus. He's also set to tour Cureveda, a woman-owned life sciences company that focuses on developing drugs to treat respiratory diseases.
