O'Malley Postpones Inaugural Event In College Park
COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley has postponed an event to discuss the role education will play in Maryland's new economy.
O'Malley's office said in an email early Tuesday that the 10 a.m. event at the University of Maryland, College Park was canceled due to inclement weather and school closures.
O'Malley, who is being inaugurated on Wednesday, was slated to talk about college affordability, job creation and budget challenges.
Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown also was scheduled to attend.
