O'Malley Plans Trade Trip To Brazil, El Salvador
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley will lead a trade mission trip to Brazil and El Salvador to meet with potential business and investment partners.
Accompanying O'Malley on next month's trip will be his wife Catherine O'Malley, and business leaders, educators and government officials.
O'Malley said Wednesday that the Port of Baltimore imports more cargo tonnage from Brazil than any other country, and Brazil was Maryland's 11th-largest export market last year.
The trip will begin in Sunday in Sao Paulo, and will end with two days in El Salvador, Dec. 8 and 9.
