O'Malley Nominates Kratovil To Be A Judge
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley has nominated former congressman Frank Kratovil to the District Court for Queen Anne's County.
O'Malley announced the appointment on Wednesday to fill a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge John T. Clark III.
Kratovil, a Democrat, represented Maryland's 1st Congressional District, which includes all of the Eastern Shore, from 2009 to 2011. He was defeated in 2010 by then-state Sen. Andy Harris.
Kratovil was state's attorney for Queen Anne's County from 2002 until 2009.
