O'Malley Announces Initiative To Help Businesses
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley says he's trying to simplify regulations to help Maryland businesses.
The governor announced the "Business in Maryland Made Easy" initiative on Friday.
O'Malley also introduced members of the new Maryland Small Business Commission, which was formed to review permitting, licensing and regulatory areas.
The program includes plans for a centralized, online system for all business licenses and permits. It will eventually provide businesses with a way to complete and submit various applications and permits in one place.
