Officials Investigate Minor Chemical Spill At McDaniel College

WESTMINSTER, Md. (WJZ) -- Officials are investigating a minor chemical spill at McDaniel College Thursday morning.

A campus-wide alert went out notifying students of the spill. Eaton and Lewis halls are closed temporarily, while the spill is cleaned up.

The minor spill happened inside an elevator in Eaton Hall.

Local police, fire and hazmat officials are on the scene.

As a precaution, Eaton and Lewis Hall will reopen on Monday morning for regular business hours.
