Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting In Northwest Baltimore
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say a man was shot and killed after pointing a gun at a police officer in Northwest Baltimore on Sunday night.
Baltimore City Police officers were conducting a traffic stop around 8:15 p.m. when the driver fled. Police followed the car to the area of Gwynns Falls Parkway and Garrison Boulevard where police say a 33-year-old man pointed a gun at an officer.
Officers recovered a semi-automatic gun and a replica firearm from the unidentified man, according to police spokesperson T.J. Smith.
No officers were injured in the incident.
Police Commissioner-Designate Darryl De Sousa was at the scene of the incident Sunday night.
