Obama To Host Scary Kids, Speak At Gala
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will welcome local children to trick-or-treat at the North Portico of the White House on Saturday evening.
The executive mansion will be lit orange for the occasion.
The trick-or-treaters are elementary students from local schools in Washington, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as children from the Boys and Girls Club of America and children from military families.
Later in the evening, the president will deliver the keynote address at the National Italian American Foundation's 36th
Anniversary Awards Gala. Among the honorees are Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dion DiMucci and Frank G. Mancuso Sr.,
the former chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures and MGM.
