NSA, Prospective Contractors Meet At Md. Workshop
WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- The National Security Agency is opening up to prospective contractors hoping to do business with the secretive government organization.
NSA representatives are meeting Tuesday with more than 150 small business owners at an event in Westminster hosted by U.S. Rep. Roscoe Bartlett. The Maryland Republican says he organized the event to help break down barriers that can prevent small businesses from winning government contracts.
The agenda features pointers on opportunities in information technology and working with major NSA contractors such as Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin. It also includes a primer on the federal security clearance process.
