Northbound I-95 Closed In Laurel After Fatal Incident
LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Authorities say the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were closed in Laurel after a person fell or jumped from a highway overpass.
Prince George's County fire department spokesman Mark Brady says the person was killed after falling from the Brooklyn Bridge Road overpass north of Route 198. It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday and led to the shutdown of the northbound lanes, which were later reopened.
Brady says the incident is being investigated as a possible suicide. No one else was injured.
