North-Central Maryland Gets Heaviest Snowfall
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The National Weather Service says north-central and northeastern Maryland have received the heaviest snowfall from a winter storm.
Edgewood in Harford County, north of Baltimore, received about 1 foot by late Wednesday evening.
Kevin Witt, a spokesman for the National Weather Service in Sterling, Va., says Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport got about 7.5 inches.
In western Maryland, Cumberland reported about 10 inches.
Witt says two separate systems came through the state, with the bulk of the snowfall coming in the late afternoon and evening Wednesday.
