NORAD To Conduct Exercise Over D.C.
WASHINGTON (AP) -- NORAD will conduct an air defense exercise in the D.C. area.
Beginning early Wednesday and ending early Thursday, training flights will be conducted.
The exercise is designed to improve intercept and identification operations. Civil Air Patrol aircraft, Air Force F-16 fighters and a U.S. Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter will take part in the exercise.
The exercise will be delayed one day if there is bad weather.
