No Injuries Reported After 2-Alarm Fire In Dundalk
DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)— A fire broke out Monday night at a house in the 200-block of Ashwood Road in Dundalk.
Heavy fire was coming from the rear of the home. As firefighters started to make an interior attack, the second floor became engulfed with flames. Immediately crews were removed for exterior operations. Initially there was a concern that a firefighter was missing. A may-day and second alarm was called, but very soon after it was determined that all firefighters were accounted for.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze from the exterior.
Officials say two children who were inside the home discovered the fire.
One of the children went to the rear of the residence and noticed a fire along the back wall. The children exited and a neighbor walking a dog called 911.
No injuries were reported.
The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation. Approximately 20 pieces of apparatus and 70 personnel responded to assist on this fire.
