No Injures Reported After Fire Destroys Aberdeen Home; 2 Dogs Rescued
ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ)— A one-alarm fire rips through the roof of an Aberdeen home Tuesday night. But no human or pets were injured.
No one was in the home when Harford County firefighters responded to the 1100-block of Montreal Drive around 5 p.m.
Fire officials says the occupants of the home were able to evacuate before they arrived on scene.
But firefighters did manage to rescue two dogs.
Preliminary investigation reveals the fire started on the deck of the split-level, wood-frame home, and then extended into the kitchen and onto a detached garage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
