Kolbe's NHL Playoff Recap 5-3-2013
Steve Kolbe is joined by Kevin Thomas & Andy Snakovsky to bring you the lastest on the NHL Playoffs.
Alex Ovechkin led the way for the Capitals scoring his franchise leading 31 career playoff goal in the Caps 3-1 Game 1 win over New York. Goalie Braden Holtby was fantastic between the pipes stopping 35 of 36 shots. Game 2 is Saturday and you can hear it on out sister station CBS Radio 1300.
Game 1 in Montreal saw a scary moment when Canadien center Lars Eller was carted off the ice after a brutal hit. Ottawa's Craig Anderson stopped an amazing 48 shots and the Senators scored 3 unanswered 3RD period goals to take Game 1 in Montreal 4-2.
Barret Jackson of St. Louis scored with less than a minute left in regulation to give the Blues a commanding 2-0 series lead over the defending champion LA Kings. Blues Goalie Brian Elliott made 28 saves on 29 shots. The Kings look to regroup down 2-0.
The Detroit Red Wings gave away a three goal lead late but managed to bounce back for an over-time victory. Johan Franzen scored twice for Detroit and Gustav Nyquist got the game winner in the extra period.

Tonight's Games:
Ottawa and Montreal go right back at it in game 2 of their series.
The Isles and Penguins meet again in Pittsburgh with the Islanders looking to bounce back from a 5-0 loss on Wednesday.
The Wild will look for redemption after losing to Chicago in over-time in game 1.
And Vancouver will try to avoid going to San Jose down 0-2 tonight.
