NFL Players Take A Stand Against Domestic Violence In NEW PSAs
BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Ending domestic violence. In a new series of PSAs hitting the airwaves now, NFL players take a stand.
Linh Bui reports current and former NFL players say "no more" to domestic violence.
A new set of public service announcements premiered during Thursday Night Football.
The idea: "No more silence. No more violence."
Sixty-four percent of Americans say if we talk more about domestic violence and sexual assault, it would make it easier to help someone.
"Intimate partner violence is not just a women's issue. In truth, it's men who can make a difference," said Sandy Timmins, executive director of House of Ruth.
The NFL teamed up with the "no more" campaign in the wake of the Ray Rice case, which prompted the NFL to revise its domestic violence policy.
Similar PSAs were released last month starring Hollywood celebrities.
The issue is deeply personal for some involved.
NFL exec Troy Vincent's mom is a domestic violence survivor.
He says it's time for all men to stand up and be held accountable.
