New On CBS Primetime, 'NCIS: New Orleans'
"NCIS: New Orleans" is a drama about the local field office that investigates criminal cases affecting military personnel in New Orleans, a city rich in culture and known for its music, entertainment and decadence.
Leading the team of investigators is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (played by Scott Bakula), a native of the Big Easy driven by the need to do the right thing. Pride presides over the assorted members of his investigative team, including Special Agent Christopher LaSalle, a hard-working party boy, Special Agent Meredith Brody, a charming but tough interrogator, and coroner Dr. Loretta Wade, an eccentric intellectual.
New Orleans plays a main role in itself, offering an active background steeped in people and history that even cast member Lucas Black has to acknowledge.
"Yeah, when people are in New Orleans, they think of a good time. Everybody wants to come down there and visit. There's plenty to do. There's a festival every weekend. The culture down there and the good food, the people that live down there love their city," Black says about filming in the historic city. "It's got a darker side, everybody there knows it does. The show will be showing some of that as well, and for everybody to get to see both of that. You know, it's kind of cool."
The series stars Black as Special Agent Christopher LaSalle, Zoe McLellan as Special Agent Meredith "Merri" Brody, and CCH Pounder as Dr. Loretta Wade.
CBS will broadcast the series premiere of "NCIS: New Orleans" on Tuesday, September 23 at 9:00pm ET/PT.
