Naval Academy Expelling Student For Setting Fires
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The U.S. Naval Academy says it is in the process of expelling a midshipman accused of setting 11 small fires across the campus.
A spokesman said Wednesday that the minor garbage fires were set in men's bathrooms on campus in September.
The small fires were extinguished quickly and damage was minimal.
The student was apprehended Sept. 24.
The academy will not reveal the student's identity citing the privacy act under the Midshipman Conduct System.
