National Aquarium Releases 300th Rehabilitated Animal At Assateague State Park
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The National Aquarium reached a major milestone this week.
Animal Care staff release their 300th rehabilitated animal back into the wild.
On Thursday, 10 sea turtles were released at Assateague State Park, including a 14 pound Kemp's Ridley Turtle nicknamed "Muenster" after the cheese.
Of the 300 animals rehabilitated and released by the National Aquarium, 242 of them have been sea turtles.
