Murder Trial Stemming From Carroll Co. Bar Fight Begins

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- Testimony has begun in Westminster in the murder trial of a Hagerstown man and his two sons accused of killing a man outside a Carroll County bar.

The Carroll County Times reports that the trial began Tuesday after a one-day delay.

John Robey, 53, and his sons, 21-year-old Jonathan and 23-year-old Thomas, are charged with second-degree murder in the beating death of Craig Myers, 26, of Rocky Ridge. All three defendants are from Hagerstown.

The incident occurred at the Crossroads Inn in Keymar on Aug. 28, 2011.

On Monday, Carroll County Circuit Judge Michael Galloway granted a defense motion for a mistrial because of questions about a juror's impartiality. A new jury was chosen and the trial began Tuesday.
