Most Md. Agencies Closed Friday For Furlough Day
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- State agencies throughout Maryland will be closed or offering reduced services for a furlough day.
The service reduction day on Friday is one of five for most state employees in fiscal year 2011. The furlough does not apply to emergency workers.
The Department of Natural Resources service centers will be closed, but state parks and other lands managed by DNR will be open. Motor Vehicle Administration offices will be closed Friday through the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.
