Morgan State Routs Maryland-Eastern Shore 87-55
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) -- Justin Black scored 18 points, DeWayne Jackson had 17 points and Morgan State easily handled Maryland-Eastern Shore in an 87-55 rout on Saturday.
Ian Chiles finished with 12 points and six blocked shots for the Bears (9-13, 6-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who have won three straight games. Anthony Hubbard had 11 points and Donte Pretlow added 10 points.
Morgan State never trailed in the contest, jumping out to a 27-12 lead when Tauron Bailey scored on a layup with 10:05 left in the first half. The Bears, who shot 59.7 percent (37 of 62) from the floor in the game, went into halftime with a 19-point advantage.
Morgan State continued its surge in the second half, leading by as many as 33 points.
Troy Snyder scored 14 points for the Hawks (1-20, 1-9), who have lost seven consecutive games. Olatunji Kosile had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
