More Than 15,000 Without Power In Maryland
TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- More than 15,000 customers are without power in Maryland as winter weather moves through the region. But the number is down from earlier in the day.
Baltimore Gas and Electric reports the majority of its outages are in Baltimore County, where about 2,400 customers were without power Monday afternoon. Another 1,800 Baltimore Gas and Electric customers were without power in Harford County.
The utility company says most outages were caused by weakened trees and tree limbs that were coated with ice coming onto power lines and other equipment.
