MLB Suspends Orioles Shortstop Ryan Adams After He Tests Positive For Amphetamine
BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Baltimore Orioles' shortstop Ryan Adams has been suspended for 25 games after testing positive for the psychostimulant drug amphetamine.
Major League Baseball made the announcement on Friday and said the suspension would be effective at the start of next season.
Adams was on the roster of the Orioles' minor league team Triple-A Norfolk Tides of the International League when the test was administered but was designated for assignment in September to make room for new Orioles' selections Endy Chavez and L.J. Hoes.
