MLB Playoff Preview with Ken Rosenthal
MLB Playoff Preview with Ken Rosenthal
Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports joined the Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and Jason La Canfora to preview the MLB Postseason. The Kansas City Royals are taking a page out of the 2012 Baltimore Orioles season when the birds made the AL Wild Card Game. The city of Baltimore was re-energized when it came to baseball and Ken said he sees the same thing in Kansas City. "Kansas City has always reminded me of Baltimore in that it has a proud baseball tradition. Obviously not a major market like New York or LA, but like in Baltimore it is great to see the passion comeback. As it did for the Orioles, its the same for the Royals."
Billy Beane, General Manager of the A's, made one of the biggest trades of the year when he sent Yoenis Cespedes to the Red Sox for a package that included Jon Lester and Johnny Gomes. Since Oakland made that trade, the teams play has faltered. Ken still thinks if the A's can make it out of the match-up with the Royals, they could make a run. "In baseball the playoffs are more hard to predict and random than football or any other sport. So if you follow the game closely you know that. But at the same time hes built a lot of good teams and this is one of them. But I feel if they win tonight, they have a chance against the Angels because maybe they'll finally relax."
And finally when bringing up the Orioles match-up with the Tigers, Ken had a pretty bad reaction for O's fans. "Its really daunting, when I saw the match-ups today or I saw who they're gonna start, Scherzer, Verlander, Price, Porcello, even I said whoa."
