Missing Isaiah Drummond Found Dead In Baltimore After Roommate Epenetus Henrique Confesses To Stabbing Him
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man who had been missing since January 22 was found dead in shallow waters near Cherry Hill on Monday.
The 29-year-old, identified as Isaiah Drummond had been reported missing by family members on January 28.
When police went to Drummond's home in the 2500 block of Cecil Avenue, they found evidence of foul play.
Police said Drummond's roommate, 28-year-old Epenetus Henrique, confessed to stabbing him and showed detectives on Monday where he hid Drummond's body.
They found the body in the shallow waters off of 100 Reedbird Avenue. His body was taken to the medical examiner's office where an autopsy would follow.
"Detectives were fortunate enough to arrive at a time the water levels were low," Baltimore Police
Det. Donny Moses said. "The body had been submerged in water and the suspect put heavy rocks on the body."
Henrique was arrested and is charged with first-degree murder.
One of Drummond's friends described him as a good person and a talented athlete who didn't deserve his untimely death.
"He helped student(s) strive," the friend said. "He was good for getting advice and he was definitely a good person and I know a lot of people are going to miss him."
Police have not released a motive but said Henrique faces a slew of charges, including first-degree murder.
