Minor League Baseball Season Canceled Due To COVID-19 Pandemic
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Minor League Baseball season has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The announcement made Tuesday afternoon means that the Orioles' affiliates; the Aberdeen IronBirds, Delmarva Shorebirds, Frederick Keys, Bowie Baysox and Norfolk Tides will not be playing ball this season, along with the nearly 160 other minor league teams.
Major League Baseball is set to start its season in July.
