Mikulski To Discuss National Online Security
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Maryland Sen. Barbara Mikulski will take part in an event to discuss online security.
Mikulski is joining Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and White House Cybersecurity Coordinator Howard Schmidt on Friday in Washington to release the administration's National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace. It's a White House initiative to improve online security, increase privacy and encourage economic growth and innovation online.
The event will include a panel discussion with industry leaders and privacy advocates. There also will be demonstrations of technology that is being developed to improve online authentication.
