Mike Tanier From Bleacher Report Previews Week 9
Mike Tanier, from Bleacher report, joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn to discuss the games this past weekend and The Ravens/Steelers game coming up. After a tough loss to The Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens will be on the road again against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jeremy asked Tainer his thoughts on the game and he states, "Ravens/Steelers is still one of the best rivals we have."
As far as the division, the AFC North division is now pretty tight. The Bengals started out tough, then lost their mojo and is now back to being first in the division after yesterday's win. The Steelers, who were struggling, now look pretty tough, the Ravens seem to be struggling and The Browns, who also looked pretty good are now in last place.
The most pathetic division right now is the NFC South. "The entire NFC South is 9, 20 and 1," says Tanier. "It's a miserable division." There have been some miserable teams and it has taken MANY years to recover and get a manager or GM in there to make the proper changes to make a winning team. "Sometimes it's best to look at those struggling divisions and look and see who is going to break out for the next year."
This weekend was the 1st time in history that 4 quarterbacks threw for 400 plus yards in the same day. However, three of those quarterback's teams lost. Only Ben Roethlisberger's Steelers won. "He had one of the best games in history yesterday," stated Tanier. He went on to say, "It's a shame it was in those uniforms." Roethlisberger threw a record setting 522 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Steelers beat The Colts 51-34.
