Mike Preston's Report Card
Mike gave Joe Flacco a B- and said that Joe got better as the game went on but missed a lot of throws.
The running backs got a C from Mike. Mike said team sources have confirmed that both Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce are battling injuries.
Wide Receivers got a C+ as Torrey Smith had 61 yards, Tandon Doss had a couple big catches and Marlon Brown is getting comfortable in the slot. Mike mentioned however that the Ravens must find a consistent tight end who can get open and make plays.
Mike gave the O Line a C. Mike noted that both Marshall Yanda and Kelechi Osemele are still not 100% and Yanda is tipping plays with his stance during running plays.
The D Line fitting enough got a D. Haloti Ngata couldn't handle the Pittsburgh double team and other players didn't show up either.
Linebackers got a C from Mike. He mentioned that Steelers did a great job shutting down the Ravens pass rush and keeping Daryl Smith from making plays until the play was down-field a bit.
The Ravens secondary struggled as Lardarius Webb had some penalties and Corey Graham was beaten on a big passing play thus they are graded a C.
Jacoby Jones was held in check on his returns, Justin Tucker converted 3 field goals and got lit up on a failed onside kick. Sam Koch was solid but not spectacular, and the special teams got a C.
John Harbaugh made many questionable decisions including an onside kick with plenty of time left in the game. The team came out flat on both sides of the ball yet again and therefor the coaching staff gets a C.
